Wordsley Hospital Refurbishment

Project: Conversion of the Old Wordsley Hospital and associated outbuildings into luxury flats.

ISB Contracting started works on this site in the spring of 2010, and has been ever present on site carrying out all elements of the necessary groundwork and surfacing during this 5 year build programme. Work has ranged from excavations of filled in cellars, floor level reduction, tanking and damp proofing throughout basements and existing cellars, Internal drainage and pump installation, in order to facilitate the conversion works which are a speciality of our client, Shropshire Homes.

Externally drainage works have been carried out in depths of up to 7 meters, where the existing levels have required the installation of deep pumping chambers. Block paving, slab laying, turfing and macadam surfacing have all been carried out by ISB Contracting in order to transform the external appearance of these old grounds, which contain buildings of particular interest, including the old clock tower.

Site team includes : Neil Bailey, Mick Huston, Jason Drew, Melvyn Hill, Aden Forbes and Josh Taylor.
